First day of training!

I started training today.  I ran and didn’t die.  I feel that’s important to note. :)

I’m following a plan called the “Couch potato’s 5k plan”.  Basically, the plan starts slow and builds up to actually running 3 miles on paved road.  Today it was run a minute, walk 90 seconds for 20 minutes total.  I was suprised that I actually didn’t feel like I was going to die from running a minute straight.  I must be in better shape than I thought.

 The 5k I’m running is on October 25…which gives me 2 months to get to where I can run 3 miles without having to go to the ER.  After today, I feel much better about my chances. :)
